Meet the Team
Board of Directors
Hector M. Enriquez
president
Having experienced firsthand the challenges of being a caregiver, the Hearts to be Healed organization has given him the opportunity to help those in a similar situation. “I am grateful and feel very fortunate to have this opportunity. My hope is to improve the lives of as many people as I can.”
Barbara A. Shadoan
executive VICE PRESIDENT
After losing a sister at a very young age to a form of childhood cancer, and as a cancer survivor herself, Barbara felt compelled to participate in the Hearts to be Healed organization. She is proud to be on a team of both dreamers and builders who will work together to provide resources for caregivers.
Yvonne Enriquez-Rojas
treasurer
Having witnessed her father’s devotion in caring for her ailing mother, Yvonne brings a deep understanding of the caregiver’s journey. Her culinary expertise, gained through her ownership of a culinary institute, beautifully complements the organization’s goals by teaching children the art of cooking and nurturing, preparing them for future caregiving roles. Yvonne’s multi-faceted experiences and unwavering commitment make her an inspiring and invaluable asset in the world of caregiving.
Niki Shadoan Esq.
Secretary/marketing director
While attending law school, Niki was also acting as a caregiver for a loved one who was suffering from a rare illness. That experience made her realize the importance of caregivers as well as the challenges they face. Niki says: “Hearts to be Healed has given me the opportunity to give back by creating a network of experienced caregivers and to provide resources for those who find themselves in the same situation.”
