Born in LA in 1970, Manuel began his professional studies in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico. Among his studies with some of the most recognized painters are drawing, human figure, and antique techniques as well as studies in sculpture and murals. His work has been displayed in galleries around the world in art expos and galleries in the United States, France, Spain, Sweden, Cuba, Switzerland, China, Japan, India, and Canada. Some of his work as a muralist and sculptor can be found at the biomedical sciences institute at the University of Juarez, Mexico. His work entitled “Encuentro de dos Mundos” was selected to be the cover of a book commemorating the 35th anniversary of the same university. He enjoys aiding in the development of new talents. He has been teaching drawing and painting for over 20 years in the US and Mexico and currently owns Agave Rosa Gallery and Estudio Manuel Piña in El Paso, TX. Manuel feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to contribute to the Hearts to be Healed Foundation through his gift as an artist.
